Solar Eclipse of the Century

THE GREAT AMERICAN ECLIPSE

Members of the Therrien Waddell Team didn’t want to miss the first continental total solar eclipse visible only in the United States. So, a pizza & ice cream afternoon was arranged in a corner of their headquarter’s parking lot, with a tent and solar glasses provided, to witness a once in a lifetime event. Despite only being able to view an maximum 81% eclipse in the Washington area at 2:43 PM, it was exciting to watch the movement of the moon across the sun and experience the diminishing sunlight as a result. 

The trajectory of the total eclipse took if from Oregon across the country through South Carolina. It was a truly special occasion for the group to get together for a short time away from the routine of the business day.
