Construction of a new 4,500 sf two story connected shell addition to an existing downtown retail building involved the removal of extensive underlying rock to construct foundations and install utilities. Service upgrades were required to electric and water systems. Work had to occur in confined space, with little staging area, parking and abutting adjacent buildings. A new facade to the existing building required interior structural upgrades and features custom mosaic street art in the finish wall.
