Therrien Waddell awarded Goddard School in Clarksburg

Therrien Waddell was recently selected as the general contractor for the Goddard School in Clarksburg, Maryland.
The school is comprised of a 13,000 SF child care center and a connected 9,025 SF annex to house an after-school program. Both buildings are one-story, wood-framed structures with structural steel in areas of major load concentration. Exteriors of the buildings are mostly brick, vinyl and fiber cement siding, and stone veneer. The project will be registered with the U.S. Green Building Council for LEED certification.
The project was designed by MV+A Architects of Bethesda, Maryland.
Construction is scheduled to begin in late spring of this year.
