Therrien Waddell donated over $500 worth of school supplies to the National Center for Children and Families for the start of the 2009 school year as part of Montgomery County’s “Ready to Learn!” program. School supplies donated included 20 back packs, folders, notebooks, binders, paper, markers, crayons, pencils, calculators, rulers, and much more! The National Center for Children and Families, serves over 1,200 students in Montgomery County through various shelters and programs. The supplies that were donated will benefit the youth in the Greentree Adolescent program, a therapeutic residential facility for adolescents with long standing family problems and histories or abuse and/or neglect. It will also benefit youth at the Greentree Shelter, an emergency shelter with and on-site childcare center and the Betty Ann Krahnke Center, Montgomery County’s largest Domestic Violence Shelter. Special thanks to all subcontractors and staff members who donated supplies to the drive. We are very pleased to make a contribution to such a deserving organization and make an impact on our community.
