Project Managers' & Superintendents' Academy

ABC’s “Project Managers' & Superintendents' Academy” was a huge success.  The program offered hands-on workshops and practical solutions for those involved in the supervisory level of the construction industry.  ABC’s Mario Parcan served as the moderator for this event.

Dan Coffey held a half-day presentation titled “Relationships between Superintendents and Project Managers.”  Dan discussed teamwork and leadership implementation as it relates to construction.  Dan has over twenty years of experience teaching this specific topic.  During the presentation, Dan moderated a workshop to help solve current frustrations as they relate to the construction industry.  Some issues discussed were:

• Communication issues, managing increasing workload demands, and handling multiple projects simultaneously
• Inefficiencies in computer systems, lack of comprehensive integration
• Planning and scheduling in the real-world environment
• Difficulty in obtaining buy in and commitment from the project team on critical goals and objectives
