Dan Coffey Presents at NHCA Annual Conference

09/30/2011

Dan Coffey, Therrien Waddell’s VP of Business Development, was a guest speaker for the National Hispanic Construction Association’s (NHCA) 1st Annual Business Development Conference in Washington, DC, on September 28, 2011.  Mr. Coffey’s presentation discussed how to position one’s company to do business with major corporations.

“It was a great turnout from across the country of Hispanic contractors and subcontractors,” said Coffey.  “[The conference] was exceptionally executed.”

One of the main focuses of the conference was paving the way for workers to become trained in sustainability and green-building practices.  According to Mr. Coffey, “We are discussing training programs to get Green Advantage certifications to the chapters.”  The participants are eager to become an integral part of the construction industry.  It is with such training that members of NHCA seek to contribute to projects and further the development of the construction industry as a whole.

Dan Coffey is an adjunct professor at Montgomery College & UMD Construction Management programs.  He is also current chairman and founding member of the USGBC NCR Montgomery County Chapter.  Mr. Coffey regularly presents at various construction and real estate industry trade associations, including USGBC, ABC, NAIOP, & IREM.
