Angus Steinson takes part in Advocacy Day in Harrisburg, PA

On January 24, 2012 the three USGBC Chapters in Pennsylvania, the USGBC Central PA Chapter, the Green Building Alliance, and the Delaware Valley Green Building Council, took part in a joint advocacy event at the Capitol in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. Angus Steinson LEED AP BD+C, DBIA, Therrien Waddell’s Preconstruction Manager, represented the USGBC Central PA Chapter. Individuals from each chapter visited with their elected officials from the House of Representatives and State Senate. Conversation centered on green schools and green building bills currently being discussed.
On January 25th, House Bill 193 passed with a vote of 170-18. This bill pertains to compliance of energy standards for state buildings in Pennsylvania.
